For over 25 years, the team for Leading practices for Countering the Mistreatment of Older Adults of the CREGÉS is recognized for its expertise. The team is dedicated to the continuous development of innovative practices for the prevention, identification and intervention of older adult mistreatment.
The research projects that support the development of Leading practices in this area of expertise stem from a strategic approach based on interprofessional and intersectoral collaboration. This approach involves addressing the issue according to various contexts (relational and practice) and on several fronts: raising awareness, improved practices, training, consultation and research.
The CREGÉS organizes and promotes various activities and achievements (e.g.: scientific publications, programs, guides and tools, etc.) on diverse themes including raising the awareness of bystanders of mistreatment, a model for the management of mistreatment situations in the continuum of care, policies and procedures for the prevention, identification and intervention in situations of mistreatment, etc.
