description:

Anna Andrianova has degrees in psychology and social work and is currently a doctoral candidate in social work at Université Laval. Over the course of her career, she has developed a particular passion for the field of caregiving, which plays a significant role in her professional commitments. She has coordinated various research and community projects to improve practices that meet the needs of different target populations. She has participated in several research projects resulting from a community-university partnership on family caregiving, social participation of older adults with disabilities, and health and social services. She has co-authored various articles and presented several conferences on the subject of the good treatment of caregivers, the abuse to which caregivers may be subjected in the exercise of their role, and the promotion of well-treatment practices in residential settings. In her doctoral dissertation, she explores the impact of mindfulness on reducing repetitive negative thinking associated with Alzheimer’s disease risk factors on the well-being and mental health of aging populations and caregivers. Mindfulness-based intervention is a promising intervention method that could find a broad practical application for people people living with a major neurocognitive disorder, caregivers and practitioners. As coordinator of the Domain of Expertise in Caregiving, Anna Andrianova is committed to research and to developing leading practices in the field of caregiving in collaboration with various community, academic and institutional partners.
